ABOUT
MAKE! Studio
was created by Annie Hershfield, who always dreamt of creating a space where she could share her love of art with the youth in her community. After 30 years of working in recreation for the City of Larkspur, running summer camps and working in their well loved and respected enrichment program, sharing arts and crafts brought not only the student but the teacher true joy. Annie brings her breadth of experience to this venture. In the studio, she has created an oasis where students feel safe to be themselves and are empowered to make magic with their hands. The ability to explore and grow through a project-based experience is prioritized, and Annie's infectious spirit cultivates laughter and a true celebration of childhood. The beauty of her approach is in honoring the process, creating community, and facilitating a child's trust in their own power to create.

One-on-one class tailored to the specific level, needs and pace of the student. Having the studio to themselves allows a child to freely explore the mediums that inspire them the most. This class is also perfect for the student who benefits from an approach curated for their unique interests or temperament.

My two 9-year olds have been making art with Annie for over 4 years. I have been so impressed with the amazing creations that come home. The end results are inventive and inspiring and the time spent creating leaves my children relaxed and happy. Annie uses multi-media crafting to explore our world - making things that bubble, twirl, bounce, shake, or light-up using colors, textures, and sound.
